Welcome to the homepage of the North-Eastern German Society of Gynecologic Oncology (NOGGO).

On 27th March 1998 the NOGGO was founded with the aim to improve the care of women with malignant tumors. Now it is counting more than 600 members (effective December 2008) from hospitals, medical practices, industry and other medical institutions.

Its principal duties are the intense and systematical advanced training and self-improvement of medical and non-medical staff and a further improvement of treatment outcome. For this purpose a large number of workshops, meetings and scientific investigations were and are designed. Our activities are especially focused on breast cancer, ovarian cancer (Fallopian tube cancer and peritoneal cancer), cervical cancer and uterine cancer. But we also look very much into more rare diseases like borderline tumors, sarcomas, gonadal tumors (e. g. granulosa cell tumors).
